Professional Architectures

The Professional Architecture course series offers professional training through the Institute of Software Research, Executive and Professional Education office.

Architecture design is a term frequently used in today’s organizations building software intensive systems. But the term is frequently over-loaded, misused, and not clearly understood. What is architecture? As a representation artifact, software architecture is an abstract view of a software intensive system’s structures that is distinct from detailed design and implementation concerns. Architecture is an important corporate asset and a crucial part of a software organization's business strategy.

The professional certification requires the completion of a two course series, each consisting of twelve-weekly online classes that are designed to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.
